Network Marketing Tips: 7 Must Ask Questions (part 2)

This article is the conclusion to 'Network Marketing Tips: 7 Must Ask Questions'.

Be sure to get lots of detailed information on each of the preceding 3 and the following 4 questions when analyzing home based business franchise opportunities. There is no need to go this business alone, and in fact, you'll get annihilated if you try. Be sure you will have loads of training and support, and that the training and support comes from people with integrity, who are already successful.

4. Does the company have plans to expand globally?

Always remember that this is the age of the Internet. You have a global reach, so make sure your products can ship world wide. One of the single most 'common' products for MLM is supplements and vitamins. These products are heavily monitored and some ingredients are borderline illegal in some countries. I was once in an MLM that dealt in potions and supplements and we couldn't even promote the same products in Canada that we could in the US, and it's difficult to get more closely related than the two of us. Information products on the other hand are widely accepted and much, much easier to promote globally.

If the company you are researching has already expanded as far as it can, or isn't going to (eek!), than your market is going to shrink brutally fast if it isn't already shriveled into a dried husk.

5. Do they have a training and support network?

You must have support. Will your sponsor be the only person you can turn to if questions or problems arise? What if they are just beginner marketers themselves and are having the same issues? Does the company you're investigating have a member forum where you can brainstorm with others and also learn form their collective mistakes? Is there support staff in place to help you with new recruits and with marketing and/or product queries? How current is there training and methodology?

This is a major factor in success or failure and is second only to a duplicatable marketing system in my opinion.

6. Do the company and owners give back?

Or are they just in it for the profit? Have they created or do they support programs that help those less-privileged? What are their plans for the future? Do you want to be associated with a company that just simply couldn't care less about charitable causes? Go with your instincts AND do your homework. 'Icky' feelings lead to 'icky' results.

7. What is the background of the company management?

Did you know that MLM and network marketing companies have been known to straight up disappear overnight when the owners grab all the profits and vaporize? As disgusting and horrifying as this sounds, it actually happens. How would you feel about fighting in the trenches for a whole year, or two years, or more, only to have it all go bye-bye in the blink of an eye? No more residual, no more income, no more business, no one to blame but yourself. Research the owners and check out their past. You may be shocked and awed, you may be reassured.

You must have heard this a thousand times by now, and it holds just as relevant as ever: Do your OWN due diligence. Lots of it. Think long term and run screaming from anything that is get rich quick (GRQ) or makes you uncomfortable in any way. Your instincts are there for a reason, trust them and then back them up with honest to goodness research. Your opportunity awaits you, just be persistent and patient.
